By mad-max | | Latest News, Website

Some of you guys have certainly read our blog article about the current lack of money for running the servers here: http://fanart.tv/2012/07/ideas-for-supporting-the-site-needed/ And so did mad-max, one of the team member of xbmcnerds.com! This is a small German community with around 3000 users which followed the call of mad-max to make a community donation for fanart.tv. They were running this event for 2 weeks and collected from every interested user in their community. At the beginning the expectations were not as high as the real donation. Collecting money for one month server hosting was the goal. The goal was exceeded …

What is fanart.tv all about

By Martijn | | Website

As some of you may or may not know, Kode runs a site called lockstockmods, though that was before this site took over his life.  Over two years ago, in a small section of the site he started hosting clearlogos for tv shows. That’s where it all started. Soon after the section started rolling and more and more images were hosted and the API became well used. It became obvious that it deserved it’s own domain. Fast forward to the present and that’s where fanart.tv is now. An artwork site dedicated to improve your media-center, by providing a range of …

XBMC for Android

By Martijn | | Latest News, Media Centre, XBMC

So as an XBMC Team member I think it’s my duty (and also proud) to make this post to say XBMC for Android is coming. Still a lot of work has to be done and it is only available for the ones that can compile it themselves. No it isn’t available yet in Play Store so if you find any app that poses as XBMC hit report before it gets a bad name. More info can be found on XBMC for Android press release.

By Riddles81 | | Movies, Music, Skin Showcase, TV

There’s an age old saying that goes something like “The best things in life are free”. Rarely does this actually come to fruition and we are often left saying things like “The love of my wife… that’s free” or something equally gooey and feel good! Let’s be honest though, I think we all know there’s nothing free about having a significant other around the house.  😉 Enter XBMC stage right and I’m finally happy to say that for once it really is free! Early on XBMC could be a little buggy and certainly wasn’t the beautiful work of art it …
